Ok, so up to this point I have discussed various aspects of black picture frames, silver picture frames, white picture frames, square picture frames, and a whole host of other types of frames. However, I haven’t even touched on the subject of novelty picture frames yet.
For those of you not familiar with the topic, a novelty picture frame is basically one of those custom type picture frames made in a non-standard design. So, square picture frames, oval picture frames and even most collage picture frames are fairly traditional in nature. A novelty frame may come in the shape of a gymnast, bowling pin, race car, horse, dancer or any one of a thousand other shapes.

You can begin with the giants of ecommerce: Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target, Overstock, eBay, etc. for your search. All of these sites carry novelty frames from time to time. If you are looking for really eclectic frames, eBay or Amazon are probably going to be your best choice and provide you with the most diverse selections. You can also use your favorite search engine to find other sites in your area of interest that may provide these types of frames. For example, if I were looking for a novelty gymnastics picture frame, I would probably end up looking at eBay, USA Gymnastics, and then a forum like ChalkBucket. Each of these sites has a high probability of having a frame that you can use for your framing needs.
The best advice I can give when it comes to finding the best novelty frame to compliment your special photo or picture is to take you time while you are shopping. Know what you are looking for before you begin to look, and know ahead of time how much you are willing to spend. Follow these three simple rules, and you will come out a winner.
